New Delhi: England Cricket Board have announced their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup which will be hosted by USA and West Indies. Pacer Jofra Archer has been included in the team he is making his international comeback after one year.
Archer last played for England in March 2024 and since then he is out of action because of an elbow injury. England will enter the tournament as defending champions.
England Cricket Board also mentioned that the same squad will feature in the four-match T20I series against Pakistan which is scheduled to start from May 22. Players who are currently the part of ongoing Indian Premier League will have to join the squad before the Pakistan series.
All teams are allowed to make changes to their squad until 25 May, after which any alteration will require approval from ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
England will fly to the Caribbean on 31 May ahead of their first game against Scotland in Barbados on 4 June. They are drawn in Group B at the T20 World Cup alongside Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman.
