Portsmouth Football Club are proud of our connection with the armed forces.
And this season we have been raising money for the Royal British Legion by auctioning off match-worn shirts.
To mark Armistice Day, the Pompey team wore tops emblazoned with poppies during the home match against Charlton in November.
Fans were then able to bid on these shirts via the club’s memorabilia store, raising a total of £6,000 for the charity.
This money will help support the Poppy Appeal, providing support to the armed forces community – wherever and whenever it is needed.
A cheque was presented to Cathy Hall from the Royal British Legion by Pompey kit man – and former Royal Marine – Kev McCormack ahead of the title-clinching clash with Barnsley last month.
