If you are after Victoria Beckham’s sleek and sophisticated designs for a fraction of their usual price, then you will be very interested to hear that the designer has teamed up with Mango on a capsule collection, which is now available to shop.
The British designer – who is known for her pared-back classics and super wearable tailoring – has collaborated with the Spanish retailer as part of its 40th anniversary year. The collection, according to a press release from the two brands, fuses Beckham’s “sophisticated ease” with Mango’s “contemporary design”. “[The collection] celebrates the two brands’ shared values of style, quality and femininity,” they said.
The capsule is filled with feminine dresses, versatile knitwear, stand-out bags, accessories and shoes. Highlights include strappy summer frocks with frill detail, a perfect white trouser suit, a trench coat and a pinstripe shirt with cut-out detailing.
“This is a collection where deconstructed silhouettes combine with high-quality materials, revisiting and elevating traditional wardrobe staples with a new and contemporary perspective,” Mango said.
This is not the first time that Beckham has taken part in a high-low collaboration. In 2017, the designer collaborated with affordable US retailer Target on a collection of printed floral dresses, separates and accessories.
Meanwhile, Mango has tapped a number of prestigious names for collections in recent years, including fashion influencers, Camille Charrière and Pernille Teisbaek, and footwear designer Simon Miller. Much of this is part of Mango’s 40th anniversary celebration, through which it also released its Heritage collection in January, which was created in tribute to the brand’s archives, referencing its designs from the late Eighties and early Nineties.
The Victoria Beckham x Mango collection is available to buy online and in store now.
