Team GB have described the Olympic Village food as “not adequate”, making the stunning allegation they’ve been served raw meat.
As part of the complaint, Team GB have brought in an extra chef at their own restaurant, snubbing the services provided by the hosts.
According to The Times, athletes have made complains of food shortages and its quality with Team GB now bringing in their chef at their performance base in Clichy, which is a 15-minute bus ride away.

Team GB chief executive officer, Andy Anson, urged the hosts to improve “dramatically” with athletes also taking back to the village packed lunches.
“There are not enough of certain foods: eggs, chicken, certain carbohydrates, and then there is the quality of the food, with raw meat being served to athletes. They have got to improve it over the next couple of days dramatically,” Anson told The Times.
“Our athletes have decided they would rather go and eat in our performance lodge in Clichy, so we are having to get another chef to come over as the demand is far exceeding what we thought it would be.
“The athletes are not going there just to eat their lunch, they are packing meals for their dinner as they don’t want to go into the athlete restaurant to eat. So, we are trying to make sure our athletes have an advantage by having more food. It is the biggest issue at the moment.”

An unnamed British athlete described the situation as “chaos”.
“They are saying the Games are more sustainable and there is way more plant-based food, but sometimes if you go at peak times it’s challenging to even get a piece of chicken,” the athlete said.
A spokesperson for Sodexo Live, the company in charge of catering, had told L’Equipe they are ‘working to increase supplies’ after the complaints made.
