The experts from Iglu said: “Perranporth Beach in Perranporth, Cornwall, England is the sixth highest-rated beach in the UK. The beach is owned and managed by Perranzabuloe Parish Council but is free to use for both locals and visitors.
“Surrounded by rolling dunes and tall cliffs, the vast sandy beach has something for everyone, whether that be swimming, snorkelling, riding horses or just taking in the fantastic views.”
The golden sand beach spans three miles and looks out to views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can expect everything you might imagine from your typical seaside resort – including a pub right on the beach. The Watering Hole pub describes itself as “the UK’s only bar on a beach” and sits right on the sand.

“The beach is picture perfect and it’s a jewel in Cornwall’s very impressive crown. The town is a delight and all the amenities are there. Nice pubs and cafes are dotted all around to cater for all. The beach is simply the cherry on the cake.”
The beach is also applauded for its dog-friendly approach offering the perfect spot for a family walk.
Another visitor said: “We visited the beach as it’s dog-friendly…our dog loves the beach and to be able to run around. The tide was out when we visited so the beach was quite vast. No idea what it’s like when the tide is in.
“The beach is clean, and the is a cafe on the beach so you can sit and enjoy a drink whilst people watching and watching our dog run around. Everyone we met was friendly and all the dogs we saw seemed to be having a great time.”
