It has been a significantly difficult season for Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. Having moved to Bavaria from Tottenham Hotspur with the aim of lifting silverware, the Englishman will end the campaign with, yet again, no trophies to celebrate.
Despite the injury initially being considered just a knock, Kane has yet to feature for Der Rekordmeister since the incident. Recently, Thomas Tuchel explained the situation in further detail:
“In Madrid, it was borderline. We tried injections and treatments. The back has completely closed. It has gotten worse and kept breaking out in small, everyday movements. There’s no chance he’s even training.”
With England’s tournament due to start on June 16, there is optimism, especially from Kane’s perspective, that he will be fit in time. Nevertheless, if Kane does fail to recover in time, to what extent could his loss affect England’s chances of winning EURO 2024?
