Global head of design and innovation at Levi’s, Paul Dillinger, and Italian luxury fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli will be among the keynote speakers for the British Fashion Council’s Institute of Positive Fashion (IPF) forum taking place on 18 April in London.
The annual sustainability event, “designed to be provocative in thinking with multi-faceted conversations and activities” will also feature Baroness Lola Young and Simon Platts, CEO/co-founder/consultant at NED discussing ‘Human rights and environmental sustainability: the time to act is now’. And Kyle Ho, Mica Phillips and Patrick McDowell will present The IPF’s Low Carbon Transition Programme.
Other presentations include ‘Business change through citizen action’ from Lawyers for Nature’s Brontie Ansell, Futerra’s Lucy Shea, Patagonia’s Tyler LaMotte, and climate activist Daze Aghaji.
The closing keynote will feature June Sarpong in conversation with shadow secretary of state Thangam Debonnaire .
The BFC said the actions-led event “will bring together voices from across the ecosystem to explore how we can create a responsible fashion industry with its series of “visionary keynote speakers, practical workshops and panel discussions with industry leaders, followed by audience breakout sessions “designed to bring together peers across industry to collaborate and fast-track collective positive change”.
