A travel and aviation expert has explained how holidaymakers are being scammed out of hundreds of pounds by booking online.
Lloyds Bank’s research has found that fake flights and caravans are the two most common items being sold by fraudsters with travel.
Speaking to GB News, Sally Gethin said: “What is worrying about this latest survey and the results, is that scammers are going after the 35 to 44-year-old age group.
“These are people often with families that are travelling on a budget and have been hit by the cost of living. So they’re going out of the box out to find a good deal, perhaps on social media, or third-party websites.
“That’s where you’ve got to be super careful because you think you’re getting a great deal and it turns out you’re just throwing your money down the drain, “
